I’m fortunate enough to get to travel to the UK about once a month on business. Great design seems such a fundamental part of London and British culture that I rarely come home without thinking what an amazing place it would be to have a design studio. Maybe someday!
Anyway, BBC.co.uk are having a Top 10 design icons vote on theie Culture web site where you can vote on everything from catseyes to minis to Laura Croft! The Spitfire, World Wide Web and London Tude map get my vote anyday.
Also listed are icons from the original shortlist of 25 which didn’t make it.
Some illustrations produced recently to illustrate a UK client’s IT Service Configuration Management offering.

What do you think? I’ve been using the bright green for the past 5 years but wanted to tone it down a little yet stay away from the perpetual corporate blue.
Wanted to convey freshness, creativity and something a little more organic that my last logo.

IE not JUST web sites
The ability to rapidly create web forms that can capture sales leads for clients is a feature we all love here at EdenWeb (as do our technology clients). However, there are times when you simply don’t have the luxury of creating ‘custom fields’ in Salesforce but need to expand a little on the standard Email, Name, and Company fields.
Fortunately we have an excellent developer working with us who has tweaked the forms to
1. Populate Salesforce with leads (as standard)
2. Have the extra non-SF info generate seperate emails to our clients
We first used this method for Cape Clear Software in Ireland several years ago and recently had a project which required the same functionality with the added feature of
1. Auto-responding to the applicant with a number of selected Whitepapers
Works beautifully. Client very happy. Number of Whitepaper applications increasing every month.
Quick sample of some icons i’ve done recently for Vodafone. Pity I have to watermark these with the red lines but you can mail me for samples.
